Swagatam, Tansi, Welcome:

As we join together in worship we acknowledge that we live on Turtle island, land that creator brought out of the waters so all could have life. Turtle island is the traditional territory of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, and Dakota peoples, and the homeland of the Metis Nation.

Welcome and Announcement

Singing:     VU562 Jesus Calls Us (verses 1,2,4)

  1. Jesus calls us; o’er the tumult

Of our life’s wild restless sea,

Day by day his clear voice sounding,

Saying, “Christian, follow me.”

  1. Long ago apostles heard it

By the Galilean lake,

Turned from home and toil and kindred,

Leaving all for Jesus’ sake.

  1. In our joys and in our sorrows,

Days of toil and hours of ease,

Still he calls, in cares and pleasures,

“Christian, love me more than these.”

Call to Worship

One:  Praise God!

God is eternally with us,

     and worthy of our praise.

All:  Praise God!

One:  God, the author of change for good,

cares for the vulnerable,

brings friendship to the lonely,

creates freedom for the restricted,

and is hope for the poor and despairing.

All:  Praise God!

One:  God is universal, God is powerful, God is empowering;

therefore, with hearts and minds and spirits, we will praise God!

Singing:  MV62 There Is Room for All

There is room for all in the shadow of God’s wing;

There is room for all, sheltered in God’s love.

And I rejoice and sing,

“My refuge and my rock in whom I trust.”

There is room for all, there is room for all.

Sharing of Peace

Music Ministry: Lean on Me – Alex Milevic

Children’s Time:  Now You See Me, Now You Don’t (Interview with Isaac Harrison)

Our Father, who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy Name,

thy kingdom come,

thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those

who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,

and the power, and the glory,

for ever and ever. Amen.

Singing: VU368 Holy Spirit, Love Divine (verses 1-3)

  1. Holy Spirit, truth divine,

Dawn upon this soul of mine.

Voice of God and inward light,

Wake my Spirit, clear my sight.

  1. Holy Spirit, love divine,

Glow within this heart of mine.

Kindle every high desire,

Purify me with your fire.

  1. Holy Spirit, power divine,

Fill and nerve this will of mine.

Boldly may I always live,

bravely serve, and gladly give.

The ministry and mission of Knox continues, even when the building is closed.  God’s love and concern for those who are struggling is shared.  You make it possible to carry this message to everyone.  If you normally give when you are in worship, we encourage you to continue your regular donations through Canada Helps.  The link is here: All donations made will be forwarded to Knox Winnipeg.  Or, if you have envelopes, you could put your offering in an envelope each Sunday and bring them with you when we get back to in person worship.  Thank you for your generosity in these times of trouble.

Community Prayer

Singing:   MV209 Go Make a Difference

Refrain: Go make a diff’rence, we can make a diff’rence

Go make a diff’rence in the world [x2]

We are the salt of the earth, called to let the people see

The love of God for you and me

We are the light of the world not to be hidden but be seen

Go make a diff’rence in the world. Refrain

We are the hands of Christ reaching out to those in need

The face of God for all to see

We are the spirit of hope, we are the voice of peace

Go make a diff’rence in the world. Refrain

So let your love shine on, let it shine for all to see

Go make a diff’rence in the world

And the Spirit of God will be with us as we go

Go make a diff’rence in the world. Refrain
